Having a cleaned HAVC may prevent pre-mature breakdown and aging of heating and cooling system. Air duct cleaning helps to reduce household dust by removing the dust where it travels most - through your air duct system. Remember, we are breathing millions of germ-carrying dust and mold particles from air ducts that cause allergies, asthma--even terminal illnesses. In all homes, the air ducts gather dust, dirt, human skin flakes and pet dander, becoming holding cells for allergens, mold spores, germs and other contaminants. The problem begins even before you move into a newly-built home, with the buildup of drywall dust, sawdust and other debris in ducts that provide a perfect environment for the growth of germs and allergens.

But before sanitizers are used the system should be thoroughly cleaned with water, which will provide you complete purity from micro-organism which might be very harmful for you and your family's health. Allergic people, infants and elderly people are very sensitive because of the micro-organism, which may cause respiratory problem. They may travel with air in your respiratory system and may be harmful to you causing different types of disease. To overtake this problem sanitizers are used which will help to eliminate odor causing micro-organism as well as contaminants associated with allergies, mildew and bacterial growth. For the sanitizer you should use sanitizer rated by EPA, which contained the lowest toxic and apparently the toxic is harmful to our health.

Does Carpet Make Allergies Worse?

Hello visitor! Thank you for taking the time to read this article.

If you or someone in your household suffers from allergies, asthma or a similar respiratory issue, you may be reluctant to install carpet in your home. There are many articles and stories out there that admonish people to steer clear of carpeting if they have these types of health woes. While evidence does suggest that carpeting can exacerbate certain conditions, that doesn't mean that people who suffer from asthma or allergies need to forgo it altogether. As long as a person's condition isn't excessively severe, they should be able to coexist peacefully with high-quality carpeting. Of course, that's only true if the carpeting is kept in tiptop shape. Learn more about using carpeting in a home with those who have respiratory ailments below.

Keep it Out of Moist Parts of the Home

Whether someone in your household has a respiratory condition or not, you should never install carpet in a part of the home that is prone to excessive moisture. The biggest reason is because mold can easily form below the surface of the carpet, where you won't be able to see it. Unbeknownst to you or anyone else in the home, mold spores will emanate from that carpeting and wreak havoc on your respiratory systems. In some cases, the mold has a strong odor; other times, it is completely odorless. Either way, its presence will cause problems, and it will create strong reactions in those who have conditions like allergies and asthma.

Vacuum it Regularly

Vacuuming a carpet doesn't just keep it looking neat and clean; it also pulls dust particles and other allergens out of it. Dust eventually settles; other debris does too. When it does that in a carpeted room, it ends up in the carpeting. Every time a person walks through the room, those particles are stirred up and go back into the air. The more frequently you vacuum your carpeting the less likely it is to harbor excessive amounts of dust, dander and other allergy-exacerbating particles. If you often forget to vacuum, set a reminder and stick to a schedule. It really is important!

Use Carpeting with a Low Pile

Another way to decrease the odds of carpeting causing problems for asthmatics and allergy sufferers is by sticking with low piles. Shag carpeting is much more likely to hide away dust and other particles. The lower the pile the less likely it is for such particles to find hiding places. Vacuuming is more effective too. Some people even stick with Berber carpeting to avoid this issue while still enjoying the soft step of such flooring. If you don't like the appearance or feel of carpeting that has a low pile, you may have to go back to the drawing board.

Steam Clean Your Carpets

Another great way to keep carpets free of debris, dust, dander and other allergens is by having them steam-cleaned on a regular basis. You can rent a machine and do it yourself, but the professionals do an even better job. The best rule of thumb is to have this done once every six months or so. If your home has high levels of foot traffic, you may want to increase the frequency to once every three months. Having them cleaned regularly will keep them clean and attractive, and they will be less likely to exacerbate allergy symptoms.

In some instances, it may be best to keep carpeting out of the house altogether. If someone in your household has an especially troubling condition like COPD, for instance, it may be best to stick with hardwood floors. Remember that those types of floors still need to be cleaned regularly to keep dust and other particles at bay. There is no surefire way to keep dust and other allergens out of the home, and you don't necessarily have to steer clear of carpeting. Consider the needs Flooring America carpet of in your household and act accordingly.

Ten Tips For Choosing Your Wedding Rings

Hello visitor! Thank you for taking the time to read this article.

Preparing for a wedding can be a busy time with so much to arrange. Perhaps the most important purchase is the wedding rings, as most of the other details, the flowers, the cake the music band etc. are all gone the next day. However the wedding rings remain as an eternal shining reminder of your love and of this special day.
This is an in-depth guide intended to help you choose the right rings for you and your partner and also provide you with the background knowledge to find the right wedding rings for you online.

1) Don't leave it to the last minute.
With so many things to arrange for the wedding, many couples will leave the wedding rings purchase to the last minute. However this could mean you have insufficient time to order the rings you like best. Some rings can take 4-6 weeks to order, especially if you require bespoke hand-made rings or a shaped ladies ring, but even many standard designs can take 2-4 weeks to order. Also if you ordered a ring and it arrived in the wrong size it may need to get sent back and replaced or sized, which could take more time.
You may also need plenty of time to look around and see what is available and make the right decision, so plan this purchase well in advance of the wedding, ideally at least three months before your special day.

2) Decide on your budget.
Decide on your maximum budget before you buy, but bear in mind the metals you would like as the cost of the rings will depend largely on the choice of metals and whether or not they are diamond set.
In addition the wedding rings are arguably the most important wedding purchase and it is a good idea to be sure to have sufficient budget for the rings you want. It would be unwise to spend most of the budget on the cake and flowers etc. which will be gone the day after the wedding and compromise on your choice of rings, which will be the eternal reminder of this day.
3) Matching wedding bands or individual.
Many couples now like to purchase matching wedding rings, and many varieties are available. However in making this decision, there are several factors to consider. Firstly, do you both like the same style or same colour of metal? Often men and ladies have different tastes in wedding ring styles and choosing matching bands could mean one partner compromising on what they like. This is probably not a good idea as each person should enjoy wearing their wedding ring. For instance many men now like to buy titanium and zirconium wedding rings, which are hard-wearing, matt finished and understated whereas ladies tend to prefer bright shiny metals.
Also the choice of the ladies wedding ring is often made to match with the engagement ring, and may need to be shaped to fit.
As a general rule, I would suggest that if you have different taste in the style of wedding ring you like, you should each choose an individual ring that appeals to you. However if you both fall in love with the same style and it will also match with the engagement ring then why not choose a matching pair.
4) Choose the metal for your wedding ring.
There are many possible precious metals to choose from for your wedding ring, the most popular are 9ct 14ct and 18ct white, yellow or rose gold, platinum and palladium.
The ladies wedding ring will usually be the same metal as the engagement ring as, they are likely to be worn together. The same metal will match best in appearance and should avoid any issues with one ring wearing over time due to differences in hardness of the metals.
When jewellery is made from precious metals, usually alloys are used. An alloy is a metal which is a combination of the precious metal and other metals. If pure gold or silver were used for jewellery, they would be very soft, this hardness would not be ideal for most jewellery purposes. Therefore alloys are used to give different colours and working properties and to keep down the cost of the metal.
Gold is generally available in the UK in 9ct 14ct and 18ct purity standards This carat value refers to the amount of gold which is in the alloy. 24ct gold is pure gold, therefore 9ct is 9/24 and 18ct is 18/24 gold. This can also be expressed in parts/thousand - 9ct is 375 parts/thousand 18ct is 750 parts/thousand of gold. Yellow and rose gold alloys are usually made by adding copper and zinc to the gold, more copper is added for rose gold to produce a deeper reddish colour. White gold is made by adding silver for 9ct or palladium for 18ct.
As white gold is really yellow gold with the addition of white metals, the alloy may be slightly yellowish in colour, therefore white gold is often plated on the surface with rhodium metal (rhodium plating), which is a hard naturally white metal. Unfortunately rhodium platings will wear off every year or two and will require regular re-plating. In the long term this can be expensive and actually over time platinum which is naturally white and does not require re-plating is likely to work out cheaper. However natural white gold can now be purchased (white gold without any plating), these vary in colour, some have a slight yellowish tinge, but there are some which are now fairly white, however they can not be as bright a white as platinum or palladium.
Platinum is the most precious of all metals, it is said to be pure, rare and eternal. The purity refers to the purity of the alloy, generally 950 parts per thousand pure as opposed to 750 parts/thousand for 18ct gold. Because of this high purity platinum is very kind to the skin. No-one is allergic to precious metals (gold, platinum & silver), the metal allergies some people encounter are caused by a skin reaction to the other metals which can be found in the alloys. Platinum is also very rare it is estimated to be around thirty two times as rare as gold, though it is only a little over twice the price of 18ct gold. Finally platinum is called an eternal metal as it is hard wearing and does not lose metal when scratched, unlike silver and gold. This allows it to be re-polished after years of wear to restore it's appearance.
Palladium is a newer precious metal which is now hallmarked in Britain. It is one of the platinum group of metals and is naturally white in colour. Palladium is also light and fairly hard wearing and has become a very popular choice for wedding rings as it is less expensive than 18ct white gold and will not require re-plating.
Many men nowadays are less fond of the shiny appearance of precious metals, or they may require a harder wearing metal if they work with their hands. This has made industrial metals such as titanium, zirconium and tungsten carbide popular choices for men. Titanium and zirconium are light, non-allergenic and extremely hard-wearing. Zirconium is black in colour and titanium is generally either a shiny white or a greyish colour, it may also be coated black or various colours can be achieved without coatings. Tungsten Carbide is the hardest metal known to man, it is scratch proof and very heavy.
The best way to find the right metal for you is to try rings on in various metals and see which metals you like the look of and that suit your skin tone and your budget.
5) Choose your ring width
The choice of ring width can be influenced by a number of different factors, such as the size of your hands, personal preference and the cost of the metal.
In general the ladies wedding ring will be about the same width as the engagement ring, which is usually two to three millimeters in width. Often ladies will also wear a third ring on the same finger, the eternity ring. This ring is usually purchased after the first year of marriage or after the birth of the first baby. Therefore, when choosing the wedding ring it may be a good idea to leave enough room on the finger to add an eternity ring later.
The most popular widths for gent's rings are five to six millimeters. Some men particularly men with large hands may like a wedding ring up to ten millimeters wide. It is not common for men to choose a width of less than four millimeters.
Sometimes a particular width will be required if a large diamond is set in the ring, in order to accommodate the width and depth of the diamond within the band.
Plain bands are also available in various depths or thicknesses, usually described as light, medium and heavyweight. When purchasing a precious metal, particularly with platinum, the choice of width and thickness will have a massive bearing on the price as the cost of the ring is determined by the amount of precious metal.
6) Wedding ring style.
There are a huge variety of wedding ring styles to choose from. The most popular style is still the plain wedding ring, which is classic and never dates. However plain wedding rings now come in many profiles and you may wish to try on different shapes and widths to see what appeals to you. The main shapes are explained below, some of these shapes also come in light, medium or heavy-weight.
Court Shape - Rounded inside and outside (the rounded inside is known as a comfort-fit and makes the ring comfortable to wear, this also makes the ring slightly heavier and deeper than the D Shape).
D Shape - From a side view this ring is shaped like a D, the flat edge goes over the finger and it looks rounded on the outside (similar to the appearance of the court shape when worn). The D Shape is generally less comfortable than a court shape, however it is less expensive as it contains less metal. D Shape rings are also usually less deep and can therefore often fit under the diamond of an engagement ring better.
Flat Edge - This ring has a flat edge on the outside. The inside which goes over the finger may also be flat edged (shape is called flat flat) or comfort fit (shape is called flat court).
Other Plain Band Shapes - There are also other newer plain band shapes such as concave or flat with bevelled edges and D Court (halfway between a D Shape and a Court) etc. The best idea is to try on or look at many different styles and choose what appeals to you. If in doubt it is hard to go wrong with the classic traditional D Shape or Court Shape.
If you would like something more unusual, there are many other alternatives to the classic plain wedding band, including two-tone (bi-colour) rings (usually two-tone rings are white and yellow gold), celtic knotwork rings, russian wedding rings and various designer wedding rings with interesting patterns or textures. It is worth considering, when purchasing a textured ring, that most textures can come off with years of wear and return to shiny, however the finish can usually be restored by a good jeweller.
7) Handmade, Shaped or Bespoke Design Wedding Rings.
When the ladies engagement ring is an unusual shape, or a twist design or if it has a large diamond or unusual shaped diamond, it is often necessary to have a wedding ring specially made to fit with the engagement ring. These shaped wedding rings can be purchased ready made in various designs. However it is often very difficult to find one that will be an exact match for an unusual engagement ring. Many will fit fairly well, but usually some gaps will remain or the bands will not fit together properly. Some off the shelf shaped rings fit well, but are lacking in design features or don't look good when worn without the engagement ring. For these type of wedding rings bespoke jewellery design can be ideal.
A jewellery designer can consult with you and design a unique wedding band to fit exactly together with your engagement ring, without leaving any gap. Although a one-off hand-made ring will be more expensive, it is a unique piece and many customers will enjoy taking part in the design process. Jewellery designers often have computer design software that will allow them to show you a computer image of how the ring will look before actually making the ring, alternatively some can make a mock ring in silver to show the style before making the real ring.
However bespoke design is not only for shaped wedding rings, if you want a ring made which is unique and individual and designed the way you want it, this is the best option. Bear in mind that this will often cost over double the price of a similar mass produced ring.
8) Diamond set or plain bands.
The plain wedding band is still the most popular style of wedding ring. However many ladies and in recent years more and more men, like to have a diamond or diamonds set in the ring.
Eternity rings and half eternity rings have become very popular choices for ladies wedding rings, particularly if the engagement ring is diamond set on the shoulders. It is worth noting that full eternity rings, where the diamonds are set all the way around the band, cannot be sized later, so a half eternity ring is often a more sensible choice. If the engagement ring has diamonds on the shoulders a half eternity can often be found with the same type and setting of diamonds which go the same distance around the band, which will match beautifully with the engagement ring.
When choosing matching bands it is often popular to have the ladies set with a diamond and the man's without, however some couples will have both rings diamond set. Many men also like to have a diamond set in their wedding band, even when choosing a titanium ring.
9) Have your fingers measured.
It is very important to have your fingers professionally measured before purchasing wedding rings, particularly if you are going to purchase online.
Many websites offer a sizing strip you can print off cut out and place around the finger. However this method of sizing can be very inaccurate. The finger size can also vary depending on the weather with fingers expanding slightly in hotter weather. A professional jeweller, will take many factors into account when measuring a finger and ordering a ring, such as the current weather, and the width and profile of the ring being ordered. It may be worth having fingers sized on a few occasions to be sure the sizing has been done correctly and the ring will be comfortable in different weather, or with hands hot or cold.
This is one advantage to buying from a jewellers shop instead of online, as the jeweller will measure the fingers as part of the service and take responsibility for the finger sizes he has advised if the rings are ordered. With many websites if the customer determines the finger size and asks for the ring to be specially made, the website cannot take responsibility for wrong sizes being ordered and will not bear the cost of re-sizing.
The shape of our fingers is also a factor as some people have more prominent knuckles. When the knuckle is larger than the finger, the best size is the smallest size which will comfortably fit over the knuckle. Otherwise the ring will look too big and be uncomfortable when it is worn. Some people's fingers are larger past the knuckle and for this finger shape, it is important that the ring is tight enough that it cannot slip off and be lost.
Some people who have problems with arthritis or have broken their finger in the past, may consider purchasing a type of ring that has a hinge and closes over the finger, so it does not need to go over the knuckle, the hinge is well hidden in these rings and is not noticeable. However this type of ring can be expensive and hard to find.
UK finger sizes are measured by letters of the alphabet and also half sizes (e.g. M1/2) these are usually measured by the leading edge of the ring, this is the extent to which the leading edge of a ring travels up a jewellers sizing stick. However, usually, wide rings will be measured by the centre of the ring and some jewellers use this method for all ring widths. It is therefore worth checking whether a finger measurement is a centre or leading edge measurement.
Different countries use different sizing scales for measuring rings, for example the UK sizes are different to the system used in most of Europe, and the USA uses another scale again. Sizing conversion charts are available on the internet, which show how to convert ring sizes of one country to the same size from another sizing system.
10) Shop around before you buy, then make your purchase.
With so many styles to choose from and places to buy, it's a good idea to look around for the best designs and lowest prices. The main decision is whether to buy from a jewellers shop or to buy online.
Generally jewellery shops should provide a high level of service, they will be happy to measure your fingers and will usually have knowledgeable employees who can help you decide on the right style and metal to choose and also answer any questions you have.
Online shops can often offer a wider range of styles as they can put the full product ranges of various ring makers on their website without holding all styles widths and sizes in stock. In addition as the costs of running a jewellery business online are much lower than a high street jewellery shop, the prices of the rings tend to be considerably lower.
Many customers now go to jewellers shops to try on some ring styles and have their fingers measured, but then buy online to take advantage of the lower prices on offer.
When you have decided on your choice of metal, style, width and design, accurately measured your finger sizes and shopped around to find the best place to buy, you can make your purchase with the confidence that you have found the right ring for you at the right price. Your wedding ring will be an eternal reminder of this truly special occasion.

Many Infections, One Medicine – Generic Flagyl

Hello visitor! Thank you for taking the time to read this article.

Flagyl, an antibiotic, is used to treat various infections in the body including those of the skin, gut areas, pelvic cavity, brain abcesses, leg ulcers, pressure sores, gums, osteomyelitis, and necrotizing pneumonia. Generic Metronidazole, the medicinal compound in Flagyl, destroys the DNA function in vulnerable anaerobic bacteria and protozoa. The medicine is effectively used in the prevention of infection following a surgical procedure, particularly after childbirth. It is also used to cure bacterial Vaginosis, urogenital Trichomoniasis, and Amoebic Dysentery.

Generic Metronidazole in Flagyl, belongs to the antibiotic class of drugs called nitroimidazoles, and is used to treat infections caused by anaerobic bacteria [that do not need oxygen to survive] and micro-organisms called protozoa. Metronidazole is believed to disable the DNA synthesis in the susceptible bacteria, thereby preventing functioning of the existing bacteria and inhibiting further development.

Flagyl has been found to be extremely effective when used in the prevention and treatment of infections following gynaecological surgery such as Puerperal fever or Sepsis that can occur after childbirth, or Giardiasis that is a gut infection. This medicine is equally effective in treating Septicaemia [blood poisoning], Brain abcesses, Necrotizing Pneumonia, Osteomyelitis [infection in the bones], Pelvic abcesses, Peritonitis [abdominal infection], Bacterial Vaginosis [vaginal infection caused by bacteria], Urogenital Trichomoniasis [a sexually transmitted genital infection], and Amoebic Dysentery [a protozoal infection]. The medicine helps to cure Dental infections, Ulcerative Gingivitis [gum inflammation and ulcers], and bacteria-infected leg ulcers as well as pressure sores.

Flagyl Generic is an oral medication, though for serious infections, Metronidazole is administered intravenously in the beginning, followed by the oral treatment. The dosage may vary according to the infection, as in treating infection of brain abcesses, when a high dose has to be given. The medicine is given according to the patient's medical condition and should be taken as advised by the doctor. It is recommended that the medicine should not be chewed, but swallowed with a lot of water; it can be taken regardless of food. Even if you feel better soon, the entire therapy must be taken, as antibiotics often help to make one feel better quickly, but if the course is not completed, you run the risk of the infection returning. While on this treatment, and for at least 48 hours later, you should not consume alcohol, otherwise you may experience a great deal of discomfort from nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramping, headache, in addition to flushing.

Before the physician puts you on to Flagyl, let the doctor know about all the ailments you've suffered from; all the medicines [prescription, OTC], nutritional supplements, herbal products you're taking; and if you have any known allergies, particularly to Metronidazole or any Nitroimidazole derivative. Let the treating doctor know if you have a decreased liver function, Hepatic Encephalopathy [a brain disease caused by an underlying liver problem], Seizures, Crohn's disease, Prophyrias [an inherited blood disorder], Anemia [inadequate number of red blood cells], or Leukopenia [inadequate number of white blood cells]. The doctor has to know about all your medicines, so that the correct dose can be worked out, and lab tests be instituted, wherever necessary, to monitor your condition.

For Amoebic Dysentery, or an Amoebic abcess in the liver, the dose varies but is usually administered from 5-10 days. Flagyl is recommended in pediatrics only for treatment of Amoebiasis - for children who have such problems, normally 3 doses are given for a period of 10 days. As plasma clearance decreases in patients having a decreased liver function, geriatrics have to undergo lab tests for monitoring of serum levels, so that they get just the right dose of the medicine.

To treat very severe anaerobic infections, Flagyl is usually administered intravenously at the beginning, followed with an oral dose every 6 hours [dependent upon weight], lasting 7-10 days. In the treatment of infections of the bones, joints, lower respiratory tract, and endocardium, the therapy can extend beyond the usual 10 days, and the dosage pattern can vary. Those who suffer from a serious hepatic disease are given low doses of Flagyl, to prevent accumulation of Metronidazole in the plasma.

There are a large number of drugs that interact with Metronidazole. If taken together with anticoagulants [Warfarin, Nicoumalone], there can be adverse effects - the risk of bleeding may increase in such patients. Antiepileptic medicines like Phenobarbital can render Flagyl less effective. Those taking Flagyl with Ciclosporin, or Lithium, will have to get their blood levels and kidney function checked from time-to-time; while those who take Metronidazole with Fluorouracil [an anti-cancer medicine] can find an increase in the side-effects caused by Flourouracil, though Flagyl does not reduce the anti-cancer effect. If taken with Phenytoin, Flagyl is capable of increasing blood levels that will have to be monitored.

Metronidazole is not recommended for patients on Disulfram treatment, as the two taken together tend to enhance psychotic symptoms, adversely affecting paranoia and bring about hallucinations, unless 2 weeks have passed since the patient last took Disulfram.

Some side-effects that commonly occur include nausea, vomiting, headache, stomachache/abdominal cramps, epigastric discomfort [due to feeling of fullness in the throat/esophagus], diarrhea, or conversely constipation, a distinct unpleasant taste, hives, rash, dryness of mouth or vagina, incontinence, or pelvic pressure. If any of these symptoms worsen or persist, then you must contact your doctor at once. Severe allergic reactions to Flagyl are unlikely, but can include the usual reactions, like: rash, itching, swelling, laboured breathing, or severe dizziness.

Serious but unlikely side effects may occur if Flagyl is administered for a prolonged period, such as: convulsive seizures, peripheral neuropathy [numbness/tingling of hands/feet], mood changes, painful urination, white patches in the mouth, or a new vaginal yeast infection; or should you happen to experience a rare but serious side-effect that may present itself in the form of a sore throat, unusual bleeding/bruising, or fever, then in any such condition, you must immediately inform your physician who will give further advice. However, most people who are being treated with Flagyl, do not experience severe side effects.

Pregnant or lactating women should seek the doctor's advice before taking Flagyl, so should those who are planning to conceive. For treatment of Trichomoniasis, pregnant patients are not given the drug in the first trimester, while for those for whom an alternative treatment has not yielded good results, the 1-day therapy cannot be given as it causes abnormally high serum levels that can affect the circulation in their fetus, for Metronidazole is known to cross the placental barrier. Dosage regimen for women and men having Trichomoniasis is based on the medical condition of the patient.

Women who are taking an oral Birth Control pill or using contraceptive patches, face a low risk of an unwanted pregnancy if administered Metronidazole; but to avoid even this low risk, it is recommended that such women should use an extra method to prevent childbirth while taking Flagyl, without a break, and continue with that for a week after the Flagyl therapy has ended. The gynaecologist or physician should be consulted for individualized advice.

The medicine in tablet formulation must be stored below a room temperature of 25oC, protected from light, heat and dampness; and kept away from children and pets.

How Can I Help Ease My Son's Migraines?

Hello visitor! Thank you for taking the time to read this article.

Question:

My eight-year-old son suffers from migraines. The local hospital advised us to cut out chocolate, cheese, cola and yeast extract from his diet. We did this immediately, but he still gets a headache about twice a month. Painkillers help, but I wonder whether cranial osteopathy would be suitable. He had a traumatic birth, resulting in a fast, forceps delivery.

Answer:

Migraines usually start around puberty; they are rare in children. I wonder if your son is suffering from headaches rather than migraines. Migraine comes from the words hemi', meaning half, and crania', meaning skull, signifying that migraines are always one-sided. Atypical migraine, which can be very distressing, lasts for more than 24 hours and is accompanied by symptoms that include: * an aura visual disturbance preceding an attack * a premonition you know the attack is going to come* sensitivity to light or sound, so bad you want to shut yourself away *nausea and vomiting.

Your child's rapid birth and forceps delivery is the most likely cause of his problem, because the skull often gets squashed and the neck damaged as the baby's head goes rapidly through the birth canal. Forceps can also damage the skull and neck. This results in the vertebrae of the neck becoming misaligned. When that happens, blood flow to the brain is affected because the vertebral arteries, which run through a pair of bony, fibrous canals inside the vertebrae, get squashed. The neck muscles can also get tight, because of the stress and tension, and this results in further restriction of blood flow.

Another potential problem concerns the vital supply of glucose and oxygen to the brain. The brain is bathed in cerebrospinal fluid, which circulates glucose and oxygen. The skull contracts and expands a dozen times or so each minute to push the fluid round, but tight neck muscles and misaligned skull bones can disrupt this process. The result is that the brain doesn't get enough glucose and begins to hurt.

There are several other possible causes of headaches, such as grinding teeth at night. This traumatizes the jaw joints located in front of the ear loge, and they can get very sore. The pain them radiates out to the temples and causes a severe headache. Blocked sinuses, which don't necessarily involve a runny nose, may also be the trigger. These are generally felt in the front of the head. They tend to be worse in the mornings, and also in the sun.

Other causes include food allergies, dehydration, constipation, low blood pressure and eye strain due to sight problems. I'm sure your doctor had checked for these, and also the unlikely possibility of a tumour on the brain. It's also possible to suffer rebound headaches from painkillers: the brain likes the analgesia and creates a headache to get more of it.

When your son had had a checkup with your doctor, I suggest the following general treatment

*Cranial osteopathy is very useful; Vicky Vlachonis at the Integrated Medical Centre had successfully treated scores of people with headaches.

*Drink at least six glasses of still, pure water daily. between meals.

*Eat fresh, wholesome preferably organic food.

*Avoid citrus fruit, chocolate and sugary food, cheese, ice cream, fizzy drinks, Marmite, canned and fast food.

*Get your son to lie in his back, then massage the sides of his neck and shoulders with a little Lifestyle Oil for five minutes every other night at bedtime. Then put a towel flat under his head with your hands underneath cupping his head. Now ask him to breath gently and regularly, and pull his head gently away from his shoulders. The gentle traction will relieve the headache and help him to sleep well.

*Check for blocked sinuses by pressing the points at the inner edge of his eyebrows. Soreness means the sinuses are congested. Put two drops of Sinus Oil in each nostril at bed time.

*Check his jaw joints in front of his ear. If they are tender, massage regularly.

*Make sure he sleeps on one soft pillow and only spends a short time daily at a computer.

*Practise therapeutic yoga with your son, particularly the cobra, semi-bridge and swing poses. These are explained in my book Therapeutic Yoga, co-written with Jiwan Brar. I also recommend joining a local class.

Allergy Concerns Over Green Washing Cycles

Hello visitor! Thank you for taking the time to read this article.

Scientists have raised concerns that environmentally friendly washing cycles are not all "friendly" for Allergy sufferers. Korean researchers have found that low temperature washing cycles, "green" energy-efficient 30 or 40 degree celsius washes, only killed 6% of house dust mites compared with 100% at 60 degrees.

Washing clothes at 40 degrees compared with 60 degrees uses a third less energy, and many environmental groups, including Friends of the Earth, recommend even lower temperature washes, whilst switching from 40 to 30 degree washes saves a further 40% in energy costs. Many detergent manufacturers are also encouraging their customers to wash at lower temperatures by saying that their products still work just as well as at a higher temperature.

However, this recent Korean research suggests this may not be the case. At both 30 and 40 degree washes, using detergent and 'enzymes' designed to improve washing at low temperatures, only between 6.2% and 6.5% of house dust mites were destroyed. In addition, the low temperature washes fared badly against other allergens. Cotton sheets contaminated with dog dander - saliva and skin cells that are a common allergen in dog-owning homes - were also washed at 30, 40 and 60 degrees. At the two lower temperatures, more than 40% of the dander remained when the sheet was re-tested. At 60 degrees, just 12% remained.

For those who are just as concerned about the environment as their allergies, the researchers did find a way to still do their washing at lower temperatures without further affecting their health. They found that rinsing fabrics three or four times in cold water after washing at 30 degrees produced results comparable with a much hotter wash.

Lindsey McManus, from Allergy UK, agreed with the Korean study and said that Allergy sufferers should use a 60 degree wash. She said: "Sheets and clothes should definitely be washed at 60 degrees or more, and regularly, to get rid of house dust mite, and other allergens."

John Bailey, from leading detergent manufacturer Proctor and Gamble, said that it wasn't the mites themselves that were causing the allergic reaction, but their droppings. "House dust mite themselves pose no problems - it's the protein contained in their faecal dropping that's the allergen. Under European wash conditions, like other protein allergens, this is easily removed. All effective detergents are successful in removing protein allergens in a 30 or 40 degree wash cycle."

The Many Benefits of Fly Screens In The House

Hello visitor! Thank you for taking the time to read this article.

In the course of the summertime months we become a victim to trying to find the balance of getting a house that smells and feels clean, but without the extra annoyance of flies and bugs. They go hand-in-hand, when it's hot outside the more pests can be discovered humming around your home. One way to combat this issue, and it's a serious issue, is to have fly screens fitted to your windows.

The benefits of getting an insect screen within the home means you can open the windows, allow the summer breeze waft through your home and keep out those pesky bugs. Not merely do flies and different creatures get on your nerves, they can additionally carry illnesses and they are drawn to food or even minute particles of food that can be found on eating utensils, and could spread bacteria around.

Fly screens come in all shapes, in fact, many companies that sell blinds provide bespoke fly screen fittings. You could cover your doors, windows and any openings you might have in your home. Those unwelcome bugs can try their really best to get in and cause chaos in your house, but they can't work through a fly screen!

The perks of having a screen within the home include being able to cut-down on electricity. Should you use fans or even air-conditioning units during the summer, which sap power and then make your bills rise, then you are wasting cash. Rather, you can have a through-draft with your doors and windows open, with fly screens fitted, to allow nature to cool your house and get that freshness back. Getting air circulating around the rooms in your home is also a good method reduce 'stale' air, which could make you feel tired. Adding this 'breathe of new air' could help you feel more awake and more alive due to the extra oxygen that is getting moved into your home.

What is more, your home must breathe. If you do not open the windows, have the heating on all the time and dry damp clothes on radiators then it could cause damp, mould or fungus. If you do not catch it quickly it can be really expensive to put right and requires severe treatments and building work to combat it. Additionally, mould could cause breathing problems, allergies and even death so it's vitally important to prevent mold from growing!

Even if you push hygiene and power bills to one side, having fly screens fitted to your doors and windows can enhance the look of your home. There are several different types of fly screen to chose from, like fine mesh, aluminium or wooden ones, that can really give your home an increase, and can even help resale values.

As you can see, the benefits of having a fly screen within the home allows you to keep out germ-spreading pests, keep your home feeling fresh and airy, adds a new look to the exterior and keeps your house in top condition structurally. Installing fly screens could be tricky, so it is ideal to have professionals do the job.

Ivf Help With Egg Retreival And Embryo Transfer

Hello visitor! Thank you for taking the time to read this article.

If you've gotten to the point where you need some help with the IVF egg retrieval and embryo transfer stage, that's great. You've already made a lot of choices up until now, and even though you feel like you have a long way to go, you're halfway there! The egg retrieval and embryo transfer is often an area where people need IVF help because it is simply a little scary and overwhelming. Hopefully these tips will give you the support you need.
Before the Egg Retrieval
Keeping all those medications straight and getting injections every day isn't fun, and it can be really stressful. It's important, though, that you do everything you can to stay relaxed and happy. Whether this means taking a couple of yoga classes, going for walks with your partner, or simply relaxing in the tub, you just need to do what works for you.
It is important that before the retrieval you know how it's all going to work. You'll be sedated, so you probably won't remember the whole process, but if you know what's going to happen before hand, you're more likely to feel relaxed. Do some research online or in books, and if you have questions, call the clinic a couple of days before retrieval to bring up any of your concerns and questions and get them all taken care of.
Also, make sure that you have scheduled everything properly. You should have someone to drive you to and from the clinic, and you should probably take the day after the retrieval off work because you may still be in pain. Some women feel no pain at all, but it's better to be prepared for this possibility.

During the Egg Retrieval

Be sure to check that your doctor and nurses know about any allergies that you have, and if you're concerned about nausea, ask about taking an anti-nausea medication. You'll probably be put on narcotic painkillers after the retrieval, so make sure you're okay with whatever the clinic is planning to prescribe for you.

At this point, there's not a whole lot you can do besides relax and do whatever the nurses and doctors tell you. The sedative that you're on will probably make you feel out of it, and you may not remember the retrieval process very well, but this is normal.

After the Egg Retrieval

If you're in pain, there are several options available to you. Sometimes using a heating pad on your belly helps, and, of course, you should take any pain medications the doctor gives you if you need them. Also, simply take it easy for a day or so. Relax and let your body recuperate from what is a pretty traumatic experience.

Also, focus on eating a healthy, low fat diet between the retrieval and the transfer. Many studies have shown that a high fat diet can be bad for embryos. You can enjoy some comfort foods, but it might be a good idea to stock your pantry with low fat, healthy options before your retrieval takes place.

Before the Transfer

The day of transfer is probably already scheduled at this point, but be sure that you know where and when your doctor is going to contact you to tell you about your eggs. If the retrieval went well, then this won't be as big of a deal, but if it didn't go so well, you'll want to be somewhere that you can get away and relax for a bit.

Also, it's important that you have your clinic do a mock transfer at some point during your IVF process. This isn't fun at all, but it helps your doctor to know where your embryos need to go so that the transfer can go more quickly and smoothly.

After the Transfer

Different clinics have different protocols for lying still after the transfer, but if you're a fidgety sort of person, bring some things to make this time more comfortable as well as some things like a book on CD or some music to distract you. If your partner can sit with you during this time, that's even better.

Again, you'll want to monitor yourself for pain and do what the doctor says to keep it under control. There aren't a whole lot of things that you can't do after retrieval, but you should avoid things like hot tubs, swimming, and over-exertion like sweaty exercise. If you have to move, go for a walk or take a yoga class, but basically, just take it easy for a few more days.

Sinusitis And Herbs That Will Cure It

Hello visitor! Thank you for taking the time to read this article.

Sinusitis can at times be painful with the swelling of the mucus lining, inflammation, stuffiness and blockage that causes bacterial infection. However, there are many "sinusitis herbs" that can cure the symptoms of sinusitis and free up the nasal passages. The long term treatment of sinusitis might depend on the actual cause which could be other health issues like diabetes, weak immunity, allergies to dust and refined foods etc. which can be treated after consultation with doctors.

Eucalyptus in the form of tea or oil has got very good medicinal properties. It is also available as throat lozenges which can cure sore throats and inflammation. When mixed in warm water and inhaled eucalyptus helps free up the nasal passages. This is because this "sinusitis herb" with its strong odor has antiseptic properties which cure the swelling of mucus lining caused by infection. Lemon balm and ginger are other cures for virus and bacterial infection. They can be used for gargling or made in the form of tea and inhaled to fight the microbial affect. Peppermint tea with its anti-inflammatory properties and strong scent will also help provide relief against fungal infection of the mucus linings.

Reshi and Maitake are two mushrooms that increase the immunity of the body. When taken as an extraction of decoction these medicinal mushrooms help cure inflammation caused by allergens like dust mites, mold and pollen. They also contain peptidoglycans which enhance the effectiveness of the immunity system. Horseradish, although a pungent herb, is extremely effective against sinusitis. Not only does it increase the blood flow to the local tissues in the nasal passages, but it also increases the movement of the lymph fluid which is mainly responsible for collecting microbes eliminated by the protective cells. Less flow of lymph might result in swelling of the nodes and excess secretion of mucus which is one of the symptoms of sinusitis.

Another lesser known exotic herb that cures sinusitis is the Magnolia flower also known as Xin Yi Hua in Chinese medicine. Very similar to the lily, this flower with a bud full of furs inhibits the secretion of mucus. It is hence used to treat sinusitis and also for congestion as applying it leads to loosening of the nasal passage easily. Cocklebur fruits also known as xanthium is a multipurpose herb that is very effective against sinusitis. It inhibits the growth and propagating of staphylococcus aureus bacteria that causes sinusitis and infection of nasal linings. Secondly it inhibits thick mucus secretion.

Thicker mucus is more difficult when it comes to discharging and sometimes lends the cilia immobile which are trapped leading to build up of further mucus. The Baikal Skullcap Root also helps cure chronic sinusitis in a similar way. It treats the upper part of the respiratory tract of bacteria and cures some of the symptoms of nasal infection and sinusitis. It belongs to the mint family Labiatae, which makes it a good cure to free up nasal blockages and treat inflammation of the mucus lining because of its strong scene.

Herbs are very effective against sinusitis and provide almost instant relief. Alliums such as garlic and onion, aroma oils like eucalyptus, and mint are all effective against sinusitis. Most of them are anti-inflammatory and help tackle the growth of bacteria that aggravate the infection and cause mucus swelling.

How to Properly Clean Your Nose to Fight Sinusitis and Allergies

Hello visitor! Thank you for taking the time to read this article.

Sinusitis and Allergies negatively impact tens of millions of Americans in the workplace, at home and at leisure. Each year they suffer the same symptoms because they continue to treat their conditions by blindly following commercials designed to market medications targeting symptom relief for sinus headaches, sinus congestion, post nasal drip and a runny nose. Eventually the body develops resistance to the pharmacologic effects of these medications and newer generations of antihistamines, decongestants, expectorants, nasal steroids and antibiotics have to be utilized to obtain some form of relief as the body battles to fight off symptoms and/or infection.

You may be thinking right about now; what else can I possibly do?

Below is a simple phrase, direct and comical, that should help you to remember how to begin treating the underlying condition instead of just seeking symptomatic relief:

Hose Your Nose!

I do not mean spraying a garden hose into each nostril and flushing your nose like a car radiator. One of the most effective ways to remove pollens, animal dander, insect waste, molds and chemical irritants is by practicing some form of sinus irrigation. There are several forms of sinus irrigation that are adopted by individuals fortunate enough to have been made aware that this solution even exists. I only recently became aware of nasal irrigation a few years ago and I am into my mid forties. However, not all forms of sinus irrigation provide the same level of effectiveness to relieve sinus sufferers of their symptoms and to restore their noses to top working condition.

For your consideration:

The neti pot is a plastic, ceramic or metal container that looks very similar to Aladdin's lamp or a distorted tea kettle. The neti pot is filled with a salt water solution and the spout is directed into one nostril and poured into the nose. People often report the awkwardness and messiness resulting from using a neti pot. It does provide some benefit to rinse the nose of allergens that are in contact with the inner lining of the nose. However, it is limited in scope to efficiently cleanse the cilia in the nose of gummy, infectious mucous; the bulk of the solution poured into the nose flows directly over the top of the bio film covering the cilia. If the hair-like cilia in your nose are unable to oscillate freely, the mucous in your nose becomes stagnant and breeding grounds for bacterial and viral infections.

Lavage bottles or sinus rinse bottles hold a salt water solution. When squeezed a large volume of water is channeled through a spout and forced into a nostril. Once again, they may be effective at rinsing out allergens; however, the solution typically will flow over the top of the bio film covering the cilia. Sinus irrigation is most effective when you restore the mucociliary system to transport mucous to the back of the throat.

The good news is that neti pots and lavage bottles have been dramatically improved upon. Pulsatile Irrigation Systems delivers a soothing stream of a saline solution into your nostrils that provides immediate natural relief. Pulsatile Irrigation accomplishes two different objectives. First, it flushes out the reactive allergens adhering to the inside of your nose. Second, the pulsating action of the saline solution gently erodes way the thick, infectious bio film preventing the mucociliary system from performing the function of ridding the nose of debris. Respiraid is a company with the mission to help people breathe more freely and distributes a cost effective and convenient to use Pulsatile Irrigation System.

Here is the bottom line; washing out a cut or laceration is common protocol to prevent infection. Does it not make sense to clean your nose?

The purpose of this article is to inspire people to think more practically about how to treat their underlying sinus conditions. Medication does play an important role in alleviating symptoms and promoting healing when appropriate. Consult your medical provider to discern how you may be able to reduce your dependence upon or increase the effectiveness of medications designed to help sufferers of sinusitis and allergies.

Is My Swimming Pool Leaking Water?

Hello visitor! Thank you for taking the time to read this article.

My swimming pool water level keeps going down, do I have a leak or it is just evaporation? Find out how to check your pool for leaks and answer that question.

Try the bucket test - Shut the pool down, turn the pump off and do not allow it to turn back on until it is turned on manually. Use a 3 or 5 gallon plastic bucket, fill the bucket approximately half full and mark on the bucket the water level. Place the bucket on the top step of the pool and mark the water level of the pool. Evaluate both bodies of water after a 24 hour period and note the amount of drop in both the plastic bucket and the swimming pool. Upon checking the bucket and the pool measurement marks, if both loose about the same amount the water loss is most likely evaporation. If the pool goes down considerably more than the bucket the pool may have a leak.

Look and check the many places that a leak can occur in a swimming pool.

o Skimmer
o Lights
o Around the return lines
o Main drains
o Tile Lines
o Corners where waterline tile comes together
o Equipment Area - Check pump, filter, chlorinators, valves and plumbing

How can I tell how much water the pool is leaking?

This is an easy formula to check.

Inches Of Water Loss x .62 Gallons / Inch x Square Footage Of The Pool Surface Per Square Foot

Let's try an example of a pool losing 1 inch of water per day.

15 Ft x 30 FT Rectangular Pool = 15 x 30 = 450 Square Ft of Surface Area

1" x .62 x 450 = 279 Gallons of Water per Day OR 11.63 Gallons per Hour

Let's try another example of a pool losing 3 inches of water per day.

14 Ft x 28 FT Rectangular Pool = 14 x 28 = 392 Square Ft of Surface Area

3" x .62 x 392 = 729 Gallons of Water per Day OR 30 Gallons per Hour

Sometimes if may take several days to determine if a pool is actually leaking, many tests and monitoring of the pool level. Remember that once the bucket test has been done with the swimming pool pump off and results are determined; redo the test with the bucket while the pool pump is operating as normal. When both of these tests are used they can be very helpful to determine of the actual pool water leak is in the main structure of the swimming pool or possibly in the piping or plumbing of the pool. Many times when the pump is operating, the pressure of the water forces the water out of a plumbing leak causing the leak in the pool to be much greater. Leaks are many times very difficult to locate and repair, using these suggestions can help to locate and resolve your pool and spa leak situations.

Get Information About Dermatitis–natural Remedies

Hello visitor! Thank you for taking the time to read this article.

Dermatitis is a general term for an inflammation of the skin. The symptoms are usually itching, crustiness, blistering, and a watery discharge from pustules. In other words, just about any annoyance on the surface of your skinranging from the mildly itchy to the downright distressingis dermatitis. One of the most common forms is eczema, an itchy kind of skin rash.

Postscabetic dermatitis can be downright itchy. Most people who are suffering from postscabetic dermatitis cannot sleep all night with all the itch and discomforts brought about by this type allergy. Yes, postscabetic dermatitis is a kind of allergy; it is not scabies at all. Scabies are caused by mites living in our skin while postscabetic dermatitis is caused by allergic reactions to the mites in the skin and may even persist even when all the scabies have been eliminated from your skin.

The skin inflammation is a sign of toxins inside your body. You see it on the skin because your skin is the largest and only visible organ of your body. Therefore, in the case of serious or chronic skin problems, treating from the outside with cream is not sufficient. The better approach is to detoxify your body by expelling the toxins from inside; preventing the problems from coming back.

Irritant contact dermatitis differs from allergic contact dermatitis because it involves materials that come in contact with the skin. Irritant contact dermatitis has to do with substances that come in contact with the skin and irritate it. Fabric softeners and detergents are culprits in many cases. Irritant contact dermatitis seems to often take form on person's hands and faces. I think that the reason faces and hands get affected so often is because there are a lot of chemicals in face soaps and hand creams.

People who have chronic skin problems may be deficient in vitamin A or zinc. These deficiencies show up in people with liver disease, vegetarians who don't eat healthy meat substitutes like beans or wheat germ, and people who are eating nutritionally poor diets or following faddish weight-loss diets. Alcoholism can also cause these deficiencies.

The exact cause is unknown, but makeup, moisturizers, topical corticosteroids or some dental products containing fluoride may play a role. Atopic dermatitis, or eczema, causes the skin to itch, scale, swell and sometimes blister. Eczema usually runs in families and is often associated with allergies, asthma, and stress. Seborrheic dermatitis consists of greasy, yellowish, or reddish scaling on the scalp and other hairy areas, as well as on the face or genitals, and in skin creases along the nose, under the breasts. is caused by an overproduction and blockage of oil glands.

Natural Remedies

Diet restriction: To avoid further aggravating your dermatitis, you need to eliminate certain foods which might generate toxins inside your body. These foods include: alcohol, coffee, spicy foods, dairy products, nuts, tropical fruit (mango, pineapple), seafood, and red meats.

Apply a mixture of 1 teaspoon camphor and 1 teaspoon sandalwood paste on the rashes. Apply nutmeg paste to the affected areas. Put natural vitamin E on the affected skin, it will relieve you of itching. Zinc taken orally and applied directly on the affected skin is effective.

Healing from inside: Take EcDermaid Capsule to clean the toxins inside your body to get rid of your dermatitis from the root.

Cures For Poison Ivy: Tips To Reduce Redness And Itching

Hello visitor! Thank you for taking the time to read this article.

The human skin is the largest organ in the human body. When we have so much skin covering the whole body, it is natural that we need to take good care of it and be sure that no harm comes to it. There are some instances when the skin gets rashes and other afflictions, which can be quite debilitating as well as irritating. It is no wonder that around the world, taking care of the kin is a million dollar business, which seems to be relentlessly growing with each passing year. One of the afflictions that one encounters is poison ivy symptoms, which cause a great deal of concern and worry to individuals around the globe. It is itchy and often strikes someone when they are enjoying themselves outdoors camping, hiking or gardening. It catches one out of the blue and at times when we may not be prepared.

The main cause of poison ivy symptoms is urushiol, which is a sticky substance that is found in the poison ivy plant. It is also found in other poisonous plants like poison oak and poison sumac. Urushiol is known to cause dermatitis which results in the severe itching response. Allergies occur when the body comes in contact with allergens or alien substances that cause irritation. Some people get welts as part of their reactions.

There are many parts of the world that are seen to have a preponderance of poison ivy plant, The poison ivy plant is seen in many parts of Northern America including the US and also some parts of Canada. The plant is common ion New England as well as in some parts of Mid Atlantic and South Eastern parts of the USA. It is seen in higher altitudes of over 1500 meters and though it is not at all an arid plant, it does grow in various kinds of soil . Though we like to be carefree when walking on trails, we need to have some awareness that poison ivy may lurk there.

Some of the most important poison ivy symptoms are the inflammation and red mark rash marks that appear in the body. These could also lead to some non colored bumps which become blisters . In very severe cases, there could also be incidence of anaphylaxis, which in very severe cases can also cause an anaphylactic shock. Allergic reactions can lead to respiratory problems for certain people. This is one of the main reasons why people who show poison ivy symptoms, should not neglect or ignore these signs. Be aware the urushiol oil can spread easily and that if one has some on one's clothing or shoes it can then go on another part of the body or to anyone that touches it.

In case of poison ivy symptoms, one can use calamine lotions, jewel weed, baking soda soaks or Vicks Vapor rub in order to give some relief. Some people say that oatmeal baths are excellent to reduce inflammation and the eruptions. Don't forget that you can also get an allergic reaction if you inhale burnt poison ivy so don't just start burning brush unless you know what types of plants they are.

If you see someone with poison ivy symptoms, you need to advise the person to get medical advice and attention immediately to avoid complications later. Wear long sleeves when you romp in the woods and this will also be helpful for tick bites as well.

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Mole Treatment

Hello visitor! Thank you for taking the time to read this article.

Moles are dark marks of varying sizes that appear on the surface of the skin. They can grow on the skin randomly at various parts of the body which may include the face and other areas. There are different types of moles depending on their tissue compositions. Many people pay much attention to how they look and what others think about them. This is why mole treatment is very common.

This mass of skin that grows on the surface of the body of an individual can sometimes be seen as a beauty spot. To others, it affects their appearance and thus is a source of discomfort and uneasiness. This skin problem often affects the self confidence and self esteem of an individual. Some of the moles can be cancerous in nature and thus, it is important for one to be screened by the relevant skin specialist so as to know if there are any cancerous cells early in advance.

The cause of this skin problem is not clearly known but most of the moles may be as a result of genetic factors. These skin growths may be common in a particular family due to the passing down of the genes from parent to child. Also, exposure to the sun in some cases contributes to their development. Moles can be uncomfortable and unattractive. When in the beard of an individual, they cause discomfort when shaving.

Different people go for mole treatment for different reasons. One is advised to see a doctor or dermatologist before trying to use their own treatment method. In many occasions tissue samples are taken so as to establish their nature. Cancerous tissues are mostly surgically removed so as to prevent the serious health risks that they pose.

It is important to note that screening is important so as to establish if they are cancerous in nature. In such cases, the doctors or dermatologists take tissue samples for screening so as to establish presence of any cancerous tissues. Most of the common methods of treatment include use of skin creams, surgical removal and laser removal. During shave excision, the mole and skin is cut. Depending on the depth of the cut, the skin of the patient may need to be stitched. Most people go for treatment so as to improve their appearance or get rid of the discomfort.

The other common method is the surgical removal method where the mole is cut out from the skin. The excision is made using a surgical blade by the surgeon. This method is relatively more expensive but it has more advantages as it has less infections and scarring. The laser method, however, is not effective when it comes to dealing with deep moles. When a deep cut is done, the surgeon may finish by stitching up the whole wound to allow fast healing. This method is common and is not expensive.

Another method that is quickly getting popular is the laser excision which makes use of laser beams to burn away mole tissues. This method is not effective when dealing with deep moles. Laser removal is more expensive compared to the surgical removal method. The laser method is known for its clean cut and less scars.

Mole removal has a number of risks which include high exposure to infections, anesthetic allergies and even nerve damage. Also, a number of patients have allergic reactions to the anesthesia used. In some cases nerves are damaged during the removal process.

Hello visitor! Thank you for taking the time to read this article.

Folding chairs are very handy for seating large numbers, indoors or outdoors, and are often durable and easy to maintain. But you can save more money in the long run by maintaining these chairs in the right manner.

When it comes to maintenance, the most obvious concerns are storage and cleaning of these chairs. Storing the chairs properly can be effective in avoiding damage and unnecessary wear and tear on them. That is why, when you store the chairs, it is advisable to use a chair dolly for the same, as it not only takes up less space, but saves the chairs from scratches too. However, chair dolly or not, what you must always do is cover your chairs to protect them from dust. A large tarp or bed sheets, or anything else that you can think of, use it to cover the chairs and keep the dust out.

You must not let the chairs store dust, firstly because it reduces your own effort of having to clean every individual chair before they can be used the next time. Also, too much dust can sneak up in the crevasses and other parts of the chair, and if you miss cleaning them, then they could serve as allergens and irritants to those sitting on them. In other words, you don't want to aggravate any dust allergies that your guests may have, when they sit on or near your chairs. Moreover, dust can be a nightmare to get out of padded folding chairs. Cloth and padding suck up dust deep into them, and that is why you will be required to put in extra efforts to clean the cloth seats and chair backs.

The maintenance of wooden folding chairs is a bit more complicated, as in you have to keep the moisture out too, apart from the dust. So do not store wooden folding chairs in areas with excessive moisture or high temperature. Wood may expand or contract over time, making the frame of a chair unstable and prone to cracking or splintering. You don't want to get new chairs every season, do you? Another thing that you must ensure is that if you have kids, then you need to prevent them from getting hurt from a folding chair, and also, save the chair from damage. Show them how they could get their fingers, toes or another part of their body caught in a folding chair and hurt themselves. Always use chairs with child safety features like locking mechanisms, and keep them nicely maintained.

Lastly the most important storage tip- try to avoid storing folding chairs near excessive heat. Whether you have metal, wood, or molded plastic folding chairs, keep them at a safe distance from heat sources like fireplaces, space heaters, ovens, boilers etc. These heating sources can expose the chairs to excessive heat and can cause the chairs to heat up, and become too hot to use. Wooden chairs are highly susceptible to catching fire if placed too close to sources of excessive heat. Most folding chairs
could face structural damage from exposure to excessive heat. That is why always store them away from heat sources, probably in a cool dry place. Do not forget to cover them properly so that the dust does not get a chance to settle on the chairs. Following all these essential maintenance tips will ensure that the chairs last really long, and you save repair costs too.

Chronic Indoor Allergies---5 Allergy Triggers That Cause Flare-Ups

Hello visitor! Thank you for taking the time to read this article.

If your allergy symptoms are continuous, you most probably have chronic allergies. Symptoms that persist day after day and week after week are an indication that you are constantly being exposed to irritants that cause your allergies to flare. Here are 5 of the most common culprits and an effective solution to the problem.

Dust---Generally a combination of particles from indoors and outdoors, it can cause sneezing, wheezing, watery eyes, runny nose, and congestion to be a constant part of daily life. It can be made up minute pieces of lint from clothing and upholstery, dirt and sand from outdoors, small pieces of paper from magazines and mail, and even metal shavings that hinges sometimes generate as doors are opened and closed.

Dust Mites-These eight-legged bugs thrive in warm, dark, and moist places. They feed on dander (or flakes of dead skin). They are most commonly found in the bedroom, and mores specifically in mattresses, bed linens, and pillows.

It is the protein in their feces that they leave everywhere that causes allergy sufferers so much grief. Mites are not fussy about whose dander they feed on, so if you have a warm-blooded pet that has a favorite mat or special cushiony bed, the mites can be found there as well.

Mold and Mildew Spores-These microscopic fungi (much like plants but without chlorophyll) are a natural part of outside air, and are impossible to keep from entering indoor air. They need moisture to survive so they are generally found in kitchens, basement, bathrooms and laundry rooms.

When they find the least bit of water indoors they reproduce at an exponential rate clogging your air with even more spores. They are a potent allergen that can be detrimental to good health.

Pollen---Most people associate this allergen with springtime. But there is a saying that there's always something blooming. And that means pollen is in the air.

So depending on the climate where you live, tree pollen can go airborne as early as January, followed by flower pollen in the spring, grass pollen in the summer, and weed pollen in the fall.

Because it is impossible to keep pollen from attaching to hair, clothes, packages, and pets, pollen will find its way indoors. This makes it available to be easily inhaled and cause chronic allergy symptoms throughout the year.

Pet Dander---If you share your life with a warm-blooded animal such as a cat, dog, bird, ferret, or bunny you have an invisible allergen called dander. This is a natural part of their growth and development and will be a part of life for as long as they remain with you.

The protein in their dander is an allergy-triggering irritant that can make keeping your pet a challenge if not impossible. Daily routines by you and your pet cause it to go airborne, adding yet another irritant to your air.

Without a way to manage the allergens above, your air continues to have a high volume of allergy triggers that you are constantly inhaling. It's no wonder symptoms can persist.

The best way to minimize symptoms is to drastically reduce the number of allergens you are exposed to indoors. Filtering your air continuously with a high efficiency particle arresting (or HEPA) air purifier is an effective solution to the problem.

Designed to remove 99,997 out of every 10,000 airborne particles that are.3 microns or greater, it can easily eliminate allergens from your air, which will let you live your life without the burden of chronic allergy symptoms.

Skin Problems And Allergies In Boston Terrier

Hello visitor! Thank you for taking the time to read this article.

If you own a boston terrier, you probably know that one of the health issues common to this breed has something to do with the skin. This breed is prone to skin problems and allergies triggered by inhalant, food, contact, fleas and bacteria.

Inhalant allergies are caused by substances such as pollens, dust mites and molds. If the reaction is seasonal, the dog may be affected by inhaling pollens. On the other hand, if the allergy is somewhat year round, your boston terrier is probably exposed to household dust, mold spores and other irritants. With this kind of allergy, your boston terrier will soon start to scratch and bite his body, lick his paws, shake his head and rub his face along the carpet. Feet, flanks, groin and armpits may itch severely while ear flaps may become red and hot.

Bath using shampoos or rinses containing aloe vera, oatmeal and eucalyptus can be done but provides only temporary relief. Drug therapy such as corticosteroids and antihistamines can be used as well as natural anti-inflammatory agents such as Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids. It is also important that the area where the dog spends time is clean and dust-free.

Food allergy is another type of canine allergy. Symptoms include itchy skin, anal itching, shaking of the head, ear inflammations, licking, rubbing the face on the carpet and in some cases vomiting, diarrhea, flatulence, sneezing, behavioral changes or seizures. Food allergy is often difficult to find out. The first step to diagnose the main cause of this problem is to eliminate all possible allergens such as beef, pork, chicken, milk, eggs, fish, corn and preservatives. Feed only homemade diet containing protein and starch. Feed your boston terrier with this diet only for a short period of time. If the symptoms improve, go back to original diet. If the symptoms return, go back to the trial diet and add new ingredient gradually until you discover the allergen. Remember to seek your vet's advice before starting with the trial diet.

The boston terrier breed may be prone to skin problems and allergies but with proper care and prevention, you never have to worry of these allergies.

Most Common Symptoms Of Mold Exposure

Hello visitor! Thank you for taking the time to read this article.

1. Headaches
If you aren't used to headaches and recently began to experience them in your home, you may have a mold problem. If you are experiencing headaches in your home like this, try testing it for a week or so. Keep track of when your headaches begin, when they stop, and where they occur.

2. Coughing and Sneezing
Coughing and sneezing could just as easily be a result of dust in your home as mold, but they are both mold exposure symptoms nonetheless. If there is mold in a certain part of your home, you should experience the coughing and sneezing more in that area of the home. You will most likely also experience a sore throat in that area.

3. Rash
It is a common misconception that you can only get a rash from mold if direct contact is made. However, you can actually get rashes from mold just by being exposed to its pores in the air. If the rash remains for more than an hour and gets worse, you should see a health care professional and call a mold expert in immediately.

4. Drowsiness
You may begin to experience occasional drowsiness for no apparent reason if there is mold in your home. This can be very harmful to your family in the evenings when your children should be paying attention to their homework, and you are feeling out of it.

5. Red Itchy Eyes
This is another mold symptom that is often misconceived. With allergies arriving in the Spring and Autumn, a lot of people experience red, watery, dry, and itchy eyes. However, if you are experiencing these symptoms exclusively in your home, it may be the result of mold exposure, not allergies.

6. Muscle and Joint Stiffness
Feeling sore in your muscles and joints may be more than a tough day at the gym, it could mean mold in your home. Much like drowsiness experienced by mold exposure, you will feel most sore and stiff when in your home around the mold-affected area.

7. Nose Bleeds
Experiencing multiple nosebleeds a month in your home is certainly not normal. If you are getting nosebleeds out o the blue in your home, definitely see a doctor and call a mold specialist. While short-term mold exposure is not usually harmful, mld can go undetected for years, and long-term exposure can be very harmful.

8. Bruising Easily
Bruising or scarring easily could be a symptom of a number of conditions or diseases, but it is also on the long list of mold symptoms. If your skin is bruising from mold exposure, you will probably be experiencing the rash symptom as well, and should see a health care professional.

9. Profuse Sweating
Mold exposure may also cause you to sweat even in a room at a reasonable room temperature. This may also mean night sweats, chills, or drooling in your sleep. A combination of these symptoms may also lead to ongoing insomnia, which could lead to other health issues.

Duvet & Pillow Fillings – A Guide For Hotel/b&b Owners

Hello visitor! Thank you for taking the time to read this article.

There are many things to consider when sourcing duvets and pillows. But the one aspect which many people overlook is taking time to consider which filling to choose.

As you may already know, guests come with all sorts of requirements and needs that must be met when they stay at your hotel. So be careful to choose a filling that is comfortable but also reduces the risk of triggering any allergies that your guests may have.

Mulberry Silk:
This is the most luxurious of fillings. Made from pure silk from silkworms Mulberry Silk offers optimum comfort, but at a price. The benefit of using this however is that it's hypoallergenic. Meaning you can offer your customers premium quality without the risk of triggering any allergies. If you're budget can stretch to it, Mulberry Silk is the often preferred option.

Natural (Feather & Down):
If it's of good quality, this type of filling is often considered to be towards the premium end of the spectrum. However, it's also very lightweight. Due to the organic nature of the material, it's also more breathable than the synthetic substitutes, allowing for a comfortable sleep. However, many people are allergic to feathers and down, and so it may not be the best solution. But if you like to offer your guests a luxurious option then it's worth taking note of any allergies they may have and offer the duvet if desired.

One thing to bear in mind is that you must take great care when washing feather duvets and pillows, they must be dried out completely before re-use to avoid any nasty damp odours occurring.

Hollowfibre:
This is the most widely used synthetic filling. Whilst being cheaper than the natural options, it is more practical and is also hypoallergenic. However, you may not find the sumptuous softness that the natural materials possess. However, there is an alternative

Microfibre:
This filling came about relatively recently and offers a realistic softness, which has been difficult for synthetic fillings (such as Hollowfibre) to imitate in the past. Microfibre is also the best filling for those who are prone to allergies as it can be washed up to 60

Pollen Allergy Can Set Off Skin Problems

Hello visitor! Thank you for taking the time to read this article.

There are some of us that need to handle allergies frequently, and this is specially evident whenever there is a large amount of pollen in the air. Most individuals usually deal with these allergies by sneezing, coughing or going through various forms of respiratory distress. You could be amazed to learn that there are also many individuals who deal with other problems related to airborne allergies and pollen and would possibly not even recognize it. A good example of this are skin conditions that people normally have and that this might be one of the largest indicators of whether a person is handling allergies or not. Why is that the case?

When we consider the various parts of our body, you will notice that the skin is the one that is constantly exposed to the environmental pollutants and allergens. Although we do inhale this pollen regularly, and we even eat it in the meals that we have from time to time, it is the skin that is always bombarded with it. The environmental pollutants and allergens cause various skin diseases, a few of which may not even be accepted as being a problem with allergies in the first place. A wonderful example of this is psoriasis.

We cannot ignore the fact that psoriasis is definitely related with heredity but, there are actually a number of different triggers which can initiate the psoriasis to flare up in someone that is prone to it. One of the problems that can cause the outbreak is pollen and other environmental problems which are around us everyday. If you uncover that you are obtaining psoriasis at specific times of the year when other people tend to be having hay fever and allergy ailments, your psoriasis may in fact be directly associated with those allergies.

When it is revealed that the allergies you are coping with are creating your psoriasis, there are quite a lot of different things that you can do which will diminish the impact. One thing that could be needed is for you to have a high quality air filter mounted in your home, or at least in the area where you sleep. This not just retains you from breathing in pollen, it keeps it from being in contact with your skin. It is also a very good idea for you to wash your hair before going to bed, since this can avoid any pollen that it has accumulated from coming in touch with your scalp. To conclude, always remember to keep yourself completely clothed to ensure that you skin is not subjected to the exterior environment.

How to Shrink Your Stomach

Hello visitor! Thank you for taking the time to read this article.

There are 2 reasons why your stomach may be bigger than it should be:

You've put on weight and it's grown as a result
You're eating the wrong foods and they are bloating your belly

The good thing is that we can take care of both of these issues without any major overhauling. And, although it works best when you add in a metabolic exercise component I will show you how to do it today "exercise-free."

However, there are a few principles you will need to follow in order to be successful and permanently shrink your stomach.

The first one is that you cannot shrink your stomach by consuming the same amount of food per sitting that you're eating now.

I had someone write to me the other day and said that they would love to lose weight, but they don't want to eat less. When I read this I just sat there scratching my head wondering what this person was looking for?

As you know I don't recommend calorie counting since I focus on high quality and self-limiting foods, but at the same time you can't eat to the point that you're going to burst.

That's just common sense, right?

If you want to shrink the size of your stomach you're going to need to put less food in it per sitting so that it is not being stretched any longer. In time this will allow your stomach to naturally shrink.

The other great thing is that when it shrinks you will get fuller faster and will naturally not want to eat as much. For now, you will just have to use the built-in measuring devices you were born with to calculate how much food you should be eating at your meals.

(If you don't remember from one of my previous posts, they are your fists!)

Remember that when you choose a protein, fruit, or healthy grain aim for it to be the size of one fist, and when you're choosing vegetables go for 2 fists worth.

It doesn't get any easier than that, and if you're still hungry after you finish ask yourself if you ate too quickly, didn't chew your food well enough, or you're just used to consuming much more food (which was most likely the problem in the first place).

Either way, after eating a meal like the one I described above that contains protein, good fat, and fibrous carbohydrates you're not going to starve so wait 20-minutes and see if you're still hungry then.

If you truly do need more to eat go for more green vegetables.

Lastly, I want to touch on the point about being bloated from incorrect food choices.

The truth is that not every food is beneficial for every person walking this earth. That means what might digest easily in me, is difficult for you to process and absorb.

This can occur from improper intestinal bacteria balance (good vs. bad), food allergies/sensitivities, weak digestive enzymes, or any other of a number of issues.

Without trying to diagnose your issue through this article the best thing I can recommend for you to do is to listen to your body as you're about to put each food inside of it.

Does it really want?

And after you consume it (up to 3 hours later) how do you feel? Are you bloated, fatigued, or did that meal give you more natural energy?

In time you will be able to discern exactly what foods agree with you the best. However, if you have digestive issues or bloating I highly recommend starting your new nutritional meal plan by eliminating gluten based products and/or diary.

This simple (but not easy) tip could dramatically eliminate many of your digestive and health problems. The reason I can say that with such confidence is because I see the results from my studio and online clients everyday whom have made the transformation and are now happier and healthier than ever.

In time after your body has rebalanced itself you may be able to add back in many of the foods you were once sensitive to. If you decide to go that route, just add in one at a time to see if it agrees with you.

I hope this article on "how to shrink your stomach" gave you a few more insights into where to begin and what to look for. And as always I wish you all the best on your journey to the healthy and in-shape body you are looking for!
